To install the Netgear WiFi router using the Nighthawk app, follow the steps below:

1. Plug your Netgear Nighthawk WiFi router into a working power outlet and wait for the LEDs on it to become stable.
2. After that, attach the provided antennas (if any).
3. Then connect your broadband or cable modem to the internet port on your Nighthawk router.
4. Now, open the Netgear Nighthawk app from a device that is connected to your Netgear WiFi router.
5. Follow the on-screen instructions  provided by the Nighthawk app to install your Netgear Nighthawk WiFi router.

5. Click on the Sign In button.
6. The dashboard appears.
7. Tap on the image of your Netgear Nighthawk WiFi router.
8. Now, on the Router Settings page, scroll down and click on Check for Updates.
9. If new firmware version is available, click on the Update button.

Congrats! The firmware on your Netgear WiFi router updates successfully.

6. Now, the Router Password Recovery window appears.
